Aesthetic Education Residencies

Aesthetic Education is the foundation and core philosophy of our work at DeltaARTS. Guided by the Capacities of Imaginative Thinking developed at Lincoln Center Institute in New York, our professional Teaching Artists lead students through Four Key Elements of practice - art-making, inquiry, reflection, research - and centered around a focus work of art (e.g. theatre production, ballet, art exhibit) the students will experience live.

The Aesthetic Ed practice does more than prepare students for viewing and experiencing live art - it enhances their ability to think, feel, and create. Through our aesthetic education residencies. we are cultivating tomorrow's thinkers and doers for a better work force, a better community, and a better world.

Delta Wolf Trap Residencies

DeltaARTS is proud to be an affiliate of the national Wolf Trap Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts, a recognized leader in early childhood arts-integrated learning and instruction. Wolf Trap Institute is scaled nationally, with 17 affiliated organizations and numerous partners in 30 states that deliver arts-integrated education experiences to 60,000 teachers, parents/caregivers, and students annually.

The goal of Wolf Trap Institute is two-fold: to prepare our youngest children for a lifetime of learning by giving them rich experiences in the arts, and to empower early childhood teachers to engage students in active learning through arts integration. Our local Teaching Artists are trained by Master Wolf Trap Teaching Artists to deliver high-quality arts-integrated experiences to our classrooms.
