Why The Arts Matter

As a beacon for imagination, diversity, and creativity, DeltaARTS believes that the arts are important because they bring people together in a way that nothing else can. Art is the culmination of the human experience expressed through color, sound, and ideas. Art is emotion. It’s common ground. It’s energy and spirituality. Art changes attitudes, perceptions, and minds. Art matters because it’s the story of us as human beings. But most importantly, art strengthens the bonds of our community, bringing us closer together, and changing lives forever.

Our Mission

We’ve made it our mission to bring Imaginative Arts Education to the Delta and surrounding community. We pride ourselves in being an epicenter of cultural arts, bringing families, friends, and artists together under one banner. Every year, we provide fun, art-filled experiences to more than 10,000 students, educators, and families. We can’t wait to share our award-winning programs with you!

Access to Quality Arts Experiences

By providing access to quality art experiences, we open hearts and minds. We believe that the availability of music, visual art, and theatre are the cornerstones of successful education, which is why we hold this value so dear.

Children & Families

As we mentioned, art begins at home. Whether it’s dancing in your living room, jamming out to your favorite tunes, or creating something all your own, we believe that children and families are an integral part of spreading our love of the arts.

Collaboration

The only thing better than creating something great is doing it together. When we join forces to create something as beautiful as a play, or as inspiring as a mural, that makes the experience all the more wonderful.

Creativity

Creativity is about more than just painting a picture or being inspired. Creativity helps us problem solve and develop life skills we might not otherwise have. Creativity is one of our core values because to put it short, it makes our lives infinitely more fulfilling.

Diversity

Art transcends race, religion, language, and just about any other barrier you can think of. Diversity is what makes our community great and is a cornerstone of the imaginative arts.

Equity

Part of our mission is ensuring that everyone has equal access to the arts. In our opinion, the joy that art brings is practically a human right.

Imagination

What is creativity without imagination? It’s nearly impossible to have one without the other. Imagination transports us to wonderful places and allows us to suspend belief, if only for a little while

The arts teach us that hard work and integrity are the foundations of great ideas. Integrity and authenticity are core values we are adamant about instilling in our young thespians, artists, and musicians.
