Kites, Cranes and Kimonos

This is a free camp for Arkansas students who will be going into the 7th , 8th and 9th grades next fall. (Priority will be given to GT students and those who attend schools in low-wealth areas.)

WHEN: June 3-7 (M-F) 9:00-3:30P
WHERE: DeltaARTS  301 S. Rhodes, West Memphis, Arkansas
Lunch and snacks will be provided daily

A weeklong camp filled with discovery, imaginative thinking, design, questioning, and art-making
 – Featuring a theatrical performance of A Thousand Cranes
 – Exploration of Japanese origami, masks, kites, culinary arts, and Haiku

Students will create their own theater and artistic interpretive pieces with professional teaching artists. Also included are trips to a Japanese Garden at The Botanic Gardens in Memphis and to a teaching kitchen where students will learn how to make sushi. This creative exploration of Japanese culture and history through the arts will end with a grand finale for families and friends featuring the students performing their original theatrical piece inspired by A Thousand Cranes and an exhibit of their original Japanese art and Haikus followed by a Japanese Tea Ceremony hosted by the students. 

This camp is made possible by an AEGIS Grant from the Arkansas Department of Education.

Crittenden Youth Theatre Conservatory Camp

WHEN: July 15-19 (M-F) 9:00-4:00P
WHERE: West Memphis Christian School, 1101 N Missouri St, West Memphis, AR

COST: $200 per student

 Improve your skills in:
* Acting
* Singing
* Movement/dance
* Audition preparation

Perform in a showcase at the end of the week!
Prepare for the CYT fall musical, The Lion King, JR!

Painting and Clay Art Camp 

WHEN: July 8-12 (M-F)
AGES: 5-8 – 8:30-10:00am & 9-12 – 10:30-12pm
WHERE: DeltaARTS, 301 South Rhodes, West Memphis, AR

COST: $100 per student
