DeltaARTS- Glenn P Schoettle Arts Center

Marbling is a fun easy method of painting cool designs on surfaces. Have a favorite pair of shoes that are stained up and looking a little worse for wear? Bring them! Let's marble them and give them new life. Bring in any item smaller than 12x12' and you can dip them in your own marbled pattern.

About the event

Get ready to marbleize everything under the sun! From phone cases to vases, let your creativity run wild, everyone! Weather permitting, we’ll take this hydrodipping extravaganza outside. If you forget to bring something to dip, don’t sweat it—we’ve got paper for your artistic flair.

Personal masks? Totally recommended—unless you’re into the whole “coloring your nose hairs and inhaling paint particles” vibe. We’ll provide aprons and gloves to save your manicure, because no one wants paint-splattered nails!

Just a heads-up: think about what you’re dipping. Clothing might sound fun, but let’s be real—it could end up stiffer than a cardboard cutout! And while painted mugs look fabulous, sipping from one might not be as tasty as it seems. We’ll have containers in various sizes, but keep your items smaller than 12x12”—let’s keep it manageable! Get ready to make some fabulous messes together!

This community event is open to all ages, free…

Additional services offered through Delta Wolf Trap include Family Engagement Workshops available to early childhood centers, libraries, children's museums, and organizations focused on supporting parents with young children. These interactive family workshops provides parents and caregivers opportunities to engage in a live arts experience with their children and learn to play with their children in educational ways that support kindergarten readiness.

Professional Development Workshops may be available for early childhood centers with aim to provide annual training on research-based practices of instruction. In-person and virtual workshops provide early educators with hands-on teaching strategies and active learning techniques that support literacy and language development, STEM learning, problem-solving, social-emotional development, classroom management, and more.
